1. I am the oldest of three girls! My poor dad, even our pets were all girls. He was so excited when I had my two boys and they absolutely love him. My sister Misty and I are 2 years apart, while my sister Cassie and I are 11 years apart (oops!).
2. Like I have said before I teach where I went to school, but what I didn't tell you is my mom is the librarian/aide, my cousin is the pre-school teacher and I teach along side my high school English/Speech teacher!
3. My husband and I meet at college. A mutual friend tried to set us up and we both turned down the date, not my type, so I thought! Then a year later I needed to get out of a situation and Jason was at my apartment visiting my roommate, so I asked him to go to my friends birthday party with me as a friend and the rest is history.
4. Not only am I a Kindergarten teacher but I coach as well. I have coached volleyball, basketball, and now tennis. I gave up the basketball assistant job when I became the head volleyball coach and then I gave up the volleyball job because it was too hard to balance teaching, coaching, and parenting (my oldest boy was going through a lot). Tennis is calm and a very short season compared to the other two sports. I love coaching!
5. I am a night owl, it is my time! During the school year though I try to go to bed by 10:00, because I am NOT a morning person. My youngest boy is a night owl too, which with him starting Pre-K in September may be a problem.
6. I am a blog stalker! I love to learn from other great teachers and have been tossing around the idea of starting my own for a few years. I have no idea what I am doing and I am very slow to post, but hopefully I will become a pro like all of you. I am a work in progress.
7. I want to learn how to crochet this year, we will see.
8. I love chips, chocolate, pasta, seafood, any fruit, camping, four wheeling, swimming, and going to our cabin in the woods!
9. I do not like cooked carrots, sushi, bugs, snakes, cleaning bathrooms or doing yard work.
10. Getting organized at home and in my classroom is on the top of my to do list this year!

Getting Started
Where to start?! I have been following blogs for awhile and have wanted to start my own but I was nervous, scared, and not quite sure how to go about it. So where did I start, Pinterest of course! With that being said please be patient with me as I begin this new adventure!
A little history about myself. I have been married for 12 years and we have two handsome little boys. Our first born is a special needs child, special indeed, he was born with a chromosome disorder (Monosomy Deletion 1p36.1) and we have been through a lot but I would not change a thing! Our second born came 4 years later and he is a ball of fire. He is the best little brother, a little protector of his big brother. Now onto my second passion in life, teaching. I have been teaching in my home town for 10 years, oh my gosh has it been that long? My first year I taught 3rd grade for part of the year then I was moved to Kindergarten when our K teacher had a baby. The following year I taught K-1 combo class because we had only 5 incoming Kindergartners. Oh yeah we are a tiny school we average 15 kids in each grade (only one class per grade)! The last 8 years I have been teaching Kindergarten and enjoying every minute of it.
Thank you for stopping by and getting to know a little about me!
